Fret no more gentleman. We have another choice to make and that is swiftech-cpu-cooler-h220x.

Some users said, that i do not need a dual fan radioator, because i do not plan to overclock my CPU.

And i think the swiftech h220 should only be installed horizontal, and thats not possible in this case.

Vertical maybe?

It's your choice to make, however I suggest you to over clock your cpu.

Manny Calavera mentioned, that I should pick a Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor instead of a

Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor.

Opinions about this?

oh no no no never. Are you planning to create a server? If no, don't buy xenon.

Do you want normal computing?

If yes go for i5 4690k instead of 4690 because with the k version you can over clock your chip.

Thanks, Xeon canceled :D

I will look, if I buy the k version, because then i must buy a different motherboard....

Here's what I would suggest. The CPU is very slightly slower, but quite a bit cheaper. The CPU cooler is also a lot cheaper, and is more than plenty for stock clocks. It's also quiet, whereas the H100i tends to be loud (though at stock clocks it's not going to be that bad). It also provides airflow for the power delivery on the motherboard as an extra little added bonus. The only downside is it's not really suitable for overclocking. It won an award in a round-up of low-profile coolers at Tom's Hardware. I also added some slightly cheaper memory and the Seasonic G550 power supply.

oh he said he wont be overclocking so i recommended it.

and that xeon is just i7 ( hyper threading) without integrated gpu and locked multiplier. its much cheaper than i7. it just have some other instructions thats all

Thanks again Sakkura, for making a list for my potential pc.

I will definitely choose the SeaSonic G 550W, nearly all Users say, that it is a good one in this range, thanks a lot!

Can you maybe explain whats so loud at the H100i? I have 2 SP120 Fans at home, so I would replace it. Or is it the pump?

And whats the difference between the G-Skill and the Corsair Memory? They are the same capacity and both at 1600...

Sry for all the question, but I want to be sure ;)

Hm, so it is like an i7 without a K? Or is it just the integrated GPU? If so, the Xeon would be back at my possible selection list...

Thanks for your objection!

so... are you overclocking or not?

because if you arent, h100i doesnt make much difference, its better to invest money elsewhere.

yes, its just not overclockable i7 without integrated gpu

Yes, I will not overclock, thats the plan.

I selected the h100i, because i thought that this "overkill" cooler could run quieter, because it has not so much to do. Correct me if i am wrong.

Sry for all the question, but I want to be sure ;)

The H100i uses a radiator that it requires some extra static pressure to push air through. That tends to lead to more fan noise. There's also the pump making at least a little bit of noise, though in most situations the fan noise is more important. I believe the H100i uses a version of the SP120 fan anyway.

It's true that the H100i will not be working hard to cool the CPU since there's no overclocking going on. So it won't be loud, just perhaps a little less quiet. But the main reason I recommended that air cooler is that it's a lot cheaper.

The difference between the two sets of memory is just that the G.Skill kit is blue and a few bucks cheaper.

Thanks for the fast answer Sakkura!

I see the point, thx for the feedback, I will check the cooler out.

Another reason I decided a liquid cooler is the fact, that a air cooler would look very... huge with the side panel with the window installed. But the cooler you mentioned seems really little compared to others.

Something like this would be fine for a locked i5 and it is only $29.99 after rebate. Just use one of the 120mm fan mounts. You can also change the fan if it is too noisy with something like a Noctua.
