Hello Fellow fourm members so i run two garrys mod servers a darkrp and a jailbreak server during peak times (when the servers are basically full).

I have lag issues on the darkrp server.

So far i have set the affinity to 4 cores for jailbreak and 4 cores for darkrp (we have a 8 core cpu)

Then i found the servers were only loading 1 core and darkrp was at 100% now i know that you cant turn srcds into a multi threaded application with out modding the hell out of it.

Now my question is there a program that can make srcds see that we have a single core cpu then divide its work load between all 8 cores.

Also worth taking note of this is a vps.

Try 40 slots for DarkRP, and a 50prop limit per player / 100 props for supporters.

If it's still running poo, lower it to 32.

Mind posting the specs of your server btw?

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

I did a bit of reading and it seems that no one has been able to get a multicore Garry's Mod server working :( I may be wrong but from what I found there isn't really any multicore support.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

Yeah i have lowered the slots to 40 and dropped the prop limit to 50 will have to wait till tonight to see if it has made any difference.

The server is running a Xeon E5-2620 0 @2.00ghz with 8 cores and 8gb of ram.

It just seems to be the core that is hitting max on one of the core assigned to the process.
