First Computer Build, Any Advise?

Hi,

 

I'm planning to build my first computer soon as my current laptop has become very slow, heavy, loud etc. Does anyone have any advise or recommendations? Sorry for no PCPartPicker, as in New Zealand most stores aren't on there.

Get a 990 board and you're good

^ 990 and maybe get a HDD for some extra storage for general files if your budget allows it

don't need but it does have extra features im using one of the cheapest gaming intel mobos and there really isnt any noticable difference apart from features

In terms of framerates, no. But it does have more features and its newer. If you see a good one at a similar price you might as well get it.

slightly better motherboard cooling although this shouldn't ever be an issue and better on-board sound quality

I think I'll just get the 970 as it's about $70 cheaper. Is that Gigabyte board fine?

yea for 70 bucks less i would go for the cheaper one
