First build advice

I'm building my first pc and want to use it for both editing/rendering and gaming. I was looking at these parts and was looking for opinions on it please as I am still a newbie with this.

 

Parts: 
Case: phantom NZXT 530
Graphics Card: Gigabyte gtx 970
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k
CPU cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 280mm watercooler
Motherboard: MSI Z97M-G43 Intel LGA 1150
PSU: CORSAIR TX 650W
Ram: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer (2x4gb) DDR3 
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200 RPM 
SSD: Samsung 128GB pro

 

-Decided to go with the gigabyte gtx 970, was between them and MSI but from what I saw and read, gigabyte has solid new tech cooling plus it is the fastest out of the bunch.

-Thought the NZXT 530 case was the best budget case for airflow and keeping my system cool

-Been having trouble finding a decent blue mobo, but found this one and it looked decent

 

Any advice on any of these parts would be greatly appreciated! Or if everything looks good I'll be happy as well! Just want to make sure Everything will be compatible and that I'm not doing something stupid!

looks great! can't see anything wrong with that, could always go to 16gb of ram since you are editing / rendering but it isnt required

I would say 16GB ram would be better for rendering and editing. Everything else is spot on!
