Safe Overclocking Voltages

Go to solution Solved by airdeano,

So I ran AMD Overdrive to get a general area of where my CPU can run. It got 4.4GHz, I set it to that in the BIOS, ran Prime95 annnnnd blue screen. Went into the BIOS and set the Vcore voltage to +0.024. Ran Prime95 again and got a rounding error. So my question is, what is a safe voltage to run the AMD A10-7850K at? I have it overclocked to it's turbo right now (4.0GHz). I have a pretty good air cooler. The rest of my system is in my signature. Thanks.

first, do you have the latest UEFI on your system, if not, do that first.

next things are to get the RAM dialed in with proper settings. since the XMP

(Intel Xtreme Memory Profile) won't load correctly, you'll need to adjust your

RAM profile in the UEFI (timings, speed {start with 2400 first} and voltage).

CPU 4.5 GHz +0,090 for the CPU

RAM 240MHz RAM voltage 1,67v (1866 with extremely loose timings works).

iGPU 1 ghz

NB 2000 mhz +0,072 for the NB

I did those recommended frequencies, and my RAMs timing and got this with Prime95. vd07yp.png
