As we all should know by now, Haswell was released today and many people will be upgrading soon.  To anyone that lives near a MicroCenter, they are selling the CPUs pretty cheap compared to other stores.  If you buy a mobo with your cpu, $40 will be taken off.  Personally, I won't be upgrading for a while since I am happy with the 3570k and the 10-15% performance boost isn't worth it.

I live by one, posted this in the technews section when I got the email from microcenter.

somebody pointed out a weird pricing error they had.

hfDVw5A.png

it says after the $40 discount it's 169.99.

here it has the microcenter price (sold separately) as 209.99 for the ASUS Z87-pro right?

and according to them other stores have it priced at 239.99. (reg price)

but when you click the link to go to the mobo

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=614842

it has it listed for 239.99.

so even with a $40 discount it would be $200.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the ad,or if its an issue with the mobo posting on the website, but I bet if you brought this in to the store, even if it were an issue of the ad being wrong, they'd probably still give you that deal on the mobo.

and the Z87-A (sli) mobo for $109.99 after the $40 discount is an awesome deal as well.

These micro center prices seem way too good to be true, $90 off the haswells?! Can I trust them?

I'm guessing it's in-store only just like their CPU special. The website usually shows a completely separate price for online ordering.

They had a few RAM bundles as well, one can probably save a pretty penny ordering inside a store... I just wish it wasn't a 4 hour drive away!
