I've seen the new Sapphire r9 290 TriX can run in crossfire with another identical card. I was wondering if you need a special motherboard to support this or if the gpu can do it with any motherboard because I plan on using these in crossfire in my system and wondered if I need to make a change to my motherboard.

I currently use the

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS......           Dose my motherboard support it and can I run two Sapphire r9 290 TriX's on this motherboard

Anybody know????

Your motherboard does support crossfire. If you are in doubt you can always refer to the owners manual or the manufactures website. Your graphics card doesn't have any crossfire tabs which means it only supports bridgeless. Good luck.
