HyperX Cloud Headphone Amp?

Monkeymatthew78
Go to solution Solved by askmax,

On board audio has come a long way, its plenty for the clouds.

I just ordered the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset and i want to get the best performance out of them. I have Asrock z97 Extreme4 mobo delivering me audio but I'm worried this will be a bottleneck to the headphones. Any recommendations if I should get a sound card or amp?

Should I just plug them directly into the motherboard or what?

Youll be fine without anything

It will sound the same. You don't need an amp.

First try plugging them into the front to see if the audio sounds fuzzy or distorted. If it does, plug it into the back

Life.exe is missing

Yes plugging it in the back is always better. Some motherboards only amp the back port. Also you get less interference. Sometimes the front isn't bad though but in a majority of cases, you get interference.
