The GPU I am getting is 305mm and so will not fit in the case normally so I need to know if I can just remove the SSD drive bay. If it can not be removed is there a better case that will fit the GPU for under £50 ($80).

1) The SSD cage is not removable

2)  Maximum GPU length is 420mm, yours will fit fine.

The hard drive cage is lower than the PCIe slot on most motherboards. And Corsair wouldn't measure GPU clearance with the drive cage removed if the drive cage isn't removable.

On the website I am looking at it says this

So there's your answer. You can remove the drive cage. What's the fuss about?

 

And based on the images, a long GPU on the first PCIe slot will clear the cage anyway

You cant although you can remove the entire cage

It will fit. The top card will clear it, as it's higher than the drive cage.
