I would like to share with you my builds that is a few months old but would always forget to post it on the forum

 

So the reason i got these parts was to make the computer as silent as i can. Whats more silent then 0db?

 

PARTS!

 

MOBO: Asus maximux VI gene (z97 wasnt out yet)

CPU: i5 4670k (devil canyon wasnt out yet)

RAM: Avexir core red 8gb 1600mhz (amazing ram)

GPU: r9 280 Asus strix edition (yeey 0db)

PSU: Corsair rm 750

AIO: corsair h55 (silent,cheap,works)

SSD: Samsung 120gb 830 pro

HDD: Seagate barracuda 1tb

CASE: Corsair 350d

FANS: 3x corsair sp 120 silent (1 is missing the white ring in the pictures sadly,dont know why)

           2x corsair af 140 silent edition as front intake

 

EXTRAS: NZXT GRID!!! (the core of the build)

                Bitfenix alchemy cable extension

                rgb led strip around the desk

 

Periferals: Razer naga and lycosa (will change these soon,both old 4-5 years)

                 LG 27 inch ips cinema screen monitor

                 Xbox one controller titanfall edition (ty gf)

                  Corsair mouse mat and a shitty genius microphone

 

 

 

Setting it all up:

I made a plexi psu/hdd shroud as you can see in the pictures to make the build look cleaner.

 

HOW DID I GET 0db?

I connected all the fans to the nzxt grid and connected it to the mobo. Using asus fan expert 2 which for me works like a charm i sett it up so that fans dont kick in until the cpu is 55C and when they do they are only on 200rpm

The gpu has fans off all by it self.

Psu fan is off because the load isnt big

HDD is storage only so it doesnt even spin up while i am using my pc or playing games.

 

WHY IS THE FAN SPINNING IN THE PIC? it was captured while booting up.

 

The cpu is OCed only to 4.2ghz on stock voltage,didnt want to push it cause there was no need and gpu is OCed from the box and i left it there.

It is big and heavy, but its soooo silent and performs like a boss! While playing something like Cod black ops II and wow it doesnt even start the fans.

-1dB is more silent that 0dB. Absolute absence of sound energy is minus infinity because decibel is logarithmic. That's a nice build.

They light up in a patern so it looks nice in real life, so i can live with them. They are also a part of an even older build that had a xfx 7870 and a fx 6300

I meant the entire build is black and white so red kinda stands out on it, not the fact that there are LEDs at all.

if i knew the build will end up black and white i would get the white led version
