Those both will be bad for what you plan, look into getting something such as an i5 4690K or i7 4790K (or non-k versions if you don't want to OC), they will do a much much better job than what you listed.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Go intel.

But I recommend getting the 4160; it's same price or cheaper(microcenter localpickup only) but higher clocked.

Even though it has less cores and 2 less threads; you can use quicksync to take lots of load off the cpu in video encoding.

For games like StarCraft2, you will appreciate having good singlecore performance.

If you can make the stretch go with this build. The xeon will help out a lot and the PSU is enough to expand the GPU to a GTX 970 or something around that mark later. This xeon will destroy the I3 and the FX-6300

nice list but the 4460 is a refresh CPU it will not work on a B85 motherboard out of the box you'd need an H97 board for that one.

The motherboard just needs to be made at around the same time or after release of Haswell refresh; B85 or not, it does not matter much.

My MSI b85 board boots into windows...etc. just fine without bios update.
