270 or 270X

270. You can overclock it to 270x speeds most of the time.

Hi

So I'm looking for a graphics upgrade for my APU system, so far I've found the R9 270 and 270X. Which one should I get? I'll be playing stuff like Far Cry 3 on Ultra settings at 1080p. And what cooler should I get (I'm thinking of Gigabyte Windforce). Thanks.

I think you may not quite be able to run on ultra, especially with that cpu.

I struggle to do so, with the 270x & an OC'd Phenom II chip.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Well, high is actually good enough for me, and 45-50 fps @ Ultra is also good enough. I might actually upgrade my APU with a new one when more FM2+ ones come out (hopefully with R9 graphics).

You won't be getting 50fps on ultra, lol.
