Best 2.1 speakers?

What are the best 2.1 speakers you can get that dont cost and arm and a leg?

prefrably something with a sub and a good wattage.  but what else should i be looking for?

What will you be using it for? Gaming? Movies? Music/Audio? If you're looking at multimedia 2.1 speakers, then there are a number of brands to look at.....like (HiVi) Swans, Logitech, Klipsch, Edifier and such. What's your budget like? Where will you be buying the speakers from?

Klipsch Pro Media 2.1  May be a bit much for you though.

I will be using it for Music and movies/TV  I have my 7.1 timiats for gaming. but wanted somthing else for when Im not gaming or I want to get up and do stuff.

Budget probably between £100 - £160  so thats $200 - $300 ish

I would preferably buy them off the internet as im tooo lazy to go in to a shop and look

 

I have seen verious people recomend bose.  any thoughts on that?   I will look in to the other makes people have sugested as well.

Bose is overpriced, there're better options available. I'd like to recommend Swan for better/balanced music reproduction, perhaps the Swans M-20W or M50W. Heard good things about the M50W in the local forums I go to....
