There could be any number of things not working.

How are they connected?

Are your drivers up to date?

Is it still plugged into the wall/has good batteries?

Are there any settings on them you might have bumped accidentally?

Is the right audio device selected in windows?

First thing is to check all of the physical connections. Start and one end with something playing through them and unplug and replug all possible spots. Make sure they're in the right input or output. If you hear crackling then it's a bad cable.
