I have an asus maximus vii hero with an i7 4770k built about 2 months ago, today when I was playing a game, it crashed.

Iv'e tried swaping my 1 4gb cosair venege module around and still getting the error, also tried windows memory test and it past. So im not sure if its the mobo or ram.

Download a BSOD viewer so we can see exactly where this issue is. The operating system does memory management, so maybe try running a sfc /scannow from a command prompt.

See if you can find your BSOD logs and paste them into this post. They can be found at C:\Windows\System32 and do a search for a .dmp file. Should be in text document format.

Bad memory management, assuming you actually got a warning about it, is typically caused by a memory leak somewhere, a lack of RAM (like you have with only 4GB), or an addressing issue (which can be a one-off). That being said, do what was said above, and post the dump/log/BSOD file so people with the tools to do so, can analyze it, and get more tangible information.
