Decent Streambox? (pun intended)

joppetie

I'm thinking about building a HTPC for watching movies and series, and playing games on the couch.

I don't want to spend too much money (this is the cheapest I could find ;)) as I don't intend to game on the thing itself.

Please tell me if you have some advice, a cheaper component or anything else to say.

Thanks guys!

-EDIT: I might add a Noctua NH-L9i later if the stock cooler is too loud for me.

Ive been looking at making a decent build in the elite 110 could use some work for a steambox but here :)

biggest problem ive had with the case is finding a good graphics card that would fit

EDIT: I would advice getting a 3 or 4 pin fan splitter to accommodate an extra fan to exhaust heat

if you don't want to play games maybe get an AMD APU or something

Yes Yes Legalize Gay Marriage sure, but have you ever considered Weaponizing Gay?

Yeah, but I'm not at all looking for a gaming-capable HTPC. It's just for streaming, so a dedicated GPU and 8GB aren't necessary.

I found that AMD APU's with Mini-ITX motherboards are actually a lot more expensive than this Intel Pentium option.

I'm not worried that it won't fit in the case, since there isn't much hardware at all.

Thanks for replying, though! :)

Why not go for a 750ti? Look up Austin Evans Meson on Youtube that thing will smash the xbox one and ps4. 760 itx might fit as well

It's still a fantastic card, your psu could power three of those systems though, can i recommend this? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ALYORA4/?tag=pcpapi-20

Or this if you don't care about extra cables this is even cheaper http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0092ML1SC/?tag=pcpapi-20

I did have a look at the Corsair Ones byt i was looking for fully modular due to the tight working space, i would recommend different to people if i was to give them this build
