4790k Overheating

i have the stock intel cpu cooler

I had the same issue. The block doesn't completely make contact with the IHS even when fully screwed down. I ended up just buying an h105 and temps went down.

Now i have changed and the stock compund did only make contact in a small triancle and now im still getting the same temps after the change ?

What should i trust most Corsair link or speedfan or have you guys some other programs to see temps because the 2 programs give different temps

I find Corsair Link to be fairly accurate. It gives a temperature that is very close to what my motherboard reads (AI Suite III).

Oka because when i load the cpu at 100% corsair link says its 100C and speedfan says around 60C

It is of course possible for Corsair Link to be reading incorrect temperatures (60C at 100% load seems more reasonable). Do you have any windows utility for your motherboard (e.g. Asus AI Suite)? This may give a more accurate temperature reading.
