So I want to upgrade my CPU to an Intel i7-4790K, but I don't know what motherboard to buy, I have been looking into the ASUS Sabertooth Mark 1 and the ASUS Z97-Deluxe, but I can't decide, are there any other good motherboards out there.

Thanks for the help.

A lot of people don't like the Asus ROG series (because of its price tag), but I have a Maximus VII Ranger (the cheaper ROG board, in no ways a bad thing!) myself for my first build - and I have to say it's lovely in aesthetics and features. I would recommend it as I think it would offer you the right features and should be great for overclocking, too.

I would prefer the Maximus VII Formula, but I'm worried about the watercooling inputs that it has, since I'm not doing a watercooling build. Does someone know if it will be a problem?

No it wont be any problem, the water cooling is just optional, the heat spreader will offcourse do its job as heatsink cooling.

But the board it self is offcourse a bit pricey, if its worth it to you then sure its a sollid board.

Offcourse the Formula comes with onboard wifi and bleutooth, but yeah its pricy.

If you dont care about bluetooth and wifi, then there are offourse cheaper boards to look at.
