New Gaming Build. Cpu or Gpu?

Hey guys,

I need help for a new gaming build. 

The budget is 700$ and the case must be a BitFenix ​​Phenom. 

I don't need hdd, cd and os and I don't think to do overclocking. 

Should I keep the configuration for some years so the question is whether it is better to focus on a intel build (i5 I supposed) and save money on the gpu or go to amd and spend more 'on the gpu. 

If in the future serve as a slight upgrade whic is a  better choice? 

Being a small case I guess I'll have to spend well in cooling and amd I think the situation worse, no?

Definitely spend more on the GPU, most games are more GPU intensive than CPU intensive.

With the exception of management game I play all kinds of games.

But I want to play crysis, gta and watch dogs so I think that may require a lot of CPU.

I play at 1080p but except quality I use default settings.

Nah, they'll ask for GPU more than CPU

 

The only game I've played that need strong CPU power is Dead Rising 3 because of its extreme zombie details and number (when I checked task manager it used more than 50% of my CPU)

I always read that crysis 3 use a lot of cores and BF4 too that I don't mentioned before.

In which range of Gpu the I3 start to bottleneck? R9 290? Gtx 980?

GTX980, but let say the bottleneck terms is very indefinite, it depends on the game you are playing

 

but the bottleneck experience is neglectable, most game doesn't use more than 2 cores, if you play Crysis you will bottleneck but it's really difficult to tell

 

In the end it's the GPU that decides 99% gaming experience

I'd probably go for an i5 4690k if you have the budget for it, but if you have even more of a budget I' get an i7 4790k. But yes, games are definately more gpu intensive than cpu intensive ....

if I had the budget I'd take an i5 too, maybe a 4570 would be enough for the moment.

But my budget is enough so my choice had to stay in a i3/fx6300 range.
