Hi guys, first post here and I was thinking about upgrading my current system for tor the winter by getting 3 GTX 980's, this is my current build http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/bodhist1/saved/wbTBD3

Do you guys think my PSU will be able to handle 3 of the 980's, any responses will be appreciated.

Your PSU will be fine, the question is why 3xSLI? Especially if you're playing at 1080P

Yes, your PSU would be able to handle it. The cards alone would be able to pull about 450-500W, leaving you with another 500-550W for everything else.

You're still not going to be able to get the full 144Hz out of your three monitors, though.

@Jobbe03 I will be running the new ROG Asus monitor along with my 2 other 1080p monitors, I wish to run the 3 cards in SLI, is there anything special that I should fear?.

If I may ask, @nj4ck why can't i get the full 144Hz?

ahhh ok

I'd personally probably go with 2 cards in SLI, because the price to performance ratio just isn't worth it with 3.
