I would suggest running in verbose mode on start up (-v) and even putting "GraphicsEnbaler=Yes" to force the driver to work.

 

It would be interesting to see what verbose shows, as it there is any kind of error, it should come up in the text.

Bugga, did this happen after installing new kexts? or just happened one? Have you tried and of the drivers from Nvidia for Mavericks?

 

Did you do any combo updates?

I can't do much in safe mode, or rather anything (I used Fedora to grab the files I needed off it)

Any assistance is appreciated; worst case scenario, I go through the pain of making a new OS

 

 

I've been reading on insanelymac, there has been a few people with the same kinda issue with older cards, but on the same version. Just looking into the fix now. bare with for just a tick..........

OK, I've found out that some people have had some luck with installing Nvidia drivers to overcome the problem.

 

I would download it from Nvidia and install via USB if you can. Here is the Link for the Mac nVidia drivers.

@Spharxx If you boot with the flag GraphicsEnabler=No, you should be able to get a basic res to install the driver

I'm out as well. there is a flag to set the res, I can't remember it thou.
