One Final Part...

Felice

My first ever build is done and the last thing I need is a monitor.

I'm completely clueless when it comes to monitors, I don't know whether I should be using HDMI or DisplayPort as my graphics card (R7-265) has both.

I'm going to be playing EVE Online mostly and I live in the UK.

I don't mind spending up to about £180 if need be.

Do you guys have any suggestions ? What do you use ?

Thanks in advance   :)

I have a question actually, if you like EVE, have you seen Star Citizen?

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

So DisplayPort or HDMI ?

it only matter in higher than 1080p 60fps monitors . So if its 1080p 120fps use DP , if it's 1440p 60 fps use DP BUT : i would recommend an IPS 1080p 60fps monitor .

Thank you, this is exactly the kind of answer I was after. Do you think I could get an IPS 1080p 60fps monitor for less the £203 however ?

Try looking elsewhere ( other British pc hardware shops ) for the monitor i linked , i got mine for around £140 and its absolutely sublime . Especially in colorful games like Hearthstone

Looks like it yhea  , it's possible amazon just overpriced it for the moment or they are out of stock ( since the monitor is nice it sells like bread )

A lot of them don't mention DisplayPort...

You should buy it from a source you trust , maybe wait for amazon to get some in stock at regular price .
