Wireless Headset Recommendations

I'm looking to get a wireless headset so I can sit on my couch and watch movies without disturbing my family. I was looking at the Logitech G930's, but wanted your guy's input. I'd like 7.1 surround but it's not a deciding factor. Thanks.

Pioneer SE-A1000. Cabled, but 18 feet of it. Don't let the open back scare you off, it shouldn't disturb unless you listen at stupid volumes.

I probably should've added that I don't want cables because I literally always trip over them. I have a 30' extension cable, if I need it.

Agreed, if wireless is a must.

The RS-120s are the only ones in my price range, you have any experience with these?

If you are sensitive to hiss, then you may want to stay away from analog wireless headphones (~900MHz band). They are like analogue cordless phones, they are prone to noise.

Check out 2.4GHz wireless headsets. Budget AptX capable Bluetooth headphones like the MEE Air-Fi Matrix2 are worth a look.

This is true, but he doesn't seem to have a use for a mic. :P

Why wouldn't I use a mic?

The way you described your criteria/needs, didn't include a microphone requirement.

To me, it looks like you want a good pair of headphones that are wireless to watch movies. You also want "7.1 surround". 7.1 and 5.1 surround etc, is just marketing for headphones. If a pair of headphones don't have "7.1" surround, will you only hear audio a difference in left and right channel? No. Maybe you should include what else you'd be using the headset or headphones for, gaming, music etc.

Yeah, sorry I would also be using them for gaming, and maybe video calls.

I hate hiss but I can get over it if the qulaity is good enough. No one's shown me a headset that is as good as the G930 yet though, which is 2.4GHz.

For a reasonable price, I think the only wireless headset is the Corsair V2100.

I've read reviews saying the Astro A50, Skullcandy PLYR1 and SteelSeries H Wireless are worth the investiment but I can't quite believe that.

i have the Vengeance 2100 and they work great as long as you are in the same room, virtual 7.1 is nice but you need the windows drivers (not necessary, i use them with my android phone with a otg cable), there is a slight hiss to them but they cut off when there is no sound, the on-cup volume control is a killer feature and i cant live without it anymore.

For the price, definitely not when there are much better options from Sennheiser.

But I don't think there's a wireless headset from Sennheiser...is there?

Not wireless headsets, just headphones. You could get a wireless lav mic for example.

Oh okay. I was gonna say "does that work with consoles?" but I confused myself and the OP doesn't need it to work with consoles I believe.

Yeah, I have used the RS 160 it's pretty badass tbh!

Wouldn't be too sure, don't own a console. I was just saying that Sennheiser's wireless audio solutions were better at that budget. But the Corsair 2100 is pretty good for $100.
