CM851 not recognized

Greetings all.

 

I've put my SSD 530 into my laptop because SRT really wasn't cutting it for me. Everything works ok except that I cannot use the CM851 32GB mSATA drive that was once used for caching. It doesn't show up in disk management, not in device manager nor in windows or ubuntu installer, but does show up in Rapid Storage Technology where I see this

I have no idea how to fix this though. I thought the firmware update provided on Dell's website would fix it, except that when run the firmware updater can't see the SSD. My laptop is a Inspiron 14 7000.
