program like garageband for pc?

Fl Studio is great. But it's really advanced.

it is an audio editing, recording and mixing software. It works great, requires low system resources and is valid with any VST plugins you might want to use. It comes with a bunch of built-in plugins that are pretty nice.

Never used garage band, so I don't know. But it looks like Band-in-a-Box. Check them out.

I would try the demo of FL Studio. It's only $199 if you like it and want to buy it.

Look into Audacity if you're looking for a free solution -- quite robust given its free price tag. A lot of podcasters use it to edit down their audio, and it's good for some basic multitracking.
