 Hello,

Kinda new to this community but since i've watched alot of linus vids(he mentions this forum alot :) ). i'm pretty sure you guys will be able to help me.

so to start off. im making a budget build, in 2/3 months i bought a few components but not all yet.

i've got about 300/400 euro left for the last things i need.

So my current setup wich isn't completed yet, is build on a old Dell optiplex 7010 mobo.

this mobo is like... really bad since it has 0 features so i'm wanting to replace that, aswell as the cpu that came with it(i3 3220)

The rest of my build is all made with a budget so don't tell me to replace these things, all i'm looking for is a good mobo and cpu.

Mainboard : Dell Inc 0YXT71 - ivy bridge Q77

Processor : Intel Core i3 3220 @3.30ghz

Memory : 4x4 DDR3 samsung pc3-12800

Graphics : Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2GB

Power supply : Corsair CX 600W 80+

SSD : 128GB samsung evo 840

HDD : 1TB Western digital Black

So, to make this story a bit smaller,

I'm looking for a good CPU and MOBO for less then 400euro if possible.

oh, and i want this build to be able to play the latest games comming out (like FC4), idc if its on low quallity.

Just playable is enough.

Could some of you please come with some suggestions, all i've come up with is stuff like z77 board with i7 3770k,

but now that even the new 8cores are out....

Need some advice :D Help please!

Consdering you will just be gaming on it, you wont need an i7. A i5 will be able to play all games, but the thing that will be holding you back is your graphics card. If you want better performance in games the graphics card is a lot more important than your CPU.

CPU: i5 4690k

MOBO: MSI Z97-G45 GAMING

CPU: i5 4670k / Cooler: Corsiar H100i / RAM: 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600mhz / Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 GAMING / GPU: Asus r9 290 DirectCUii / Case: Define r4 / Storage: 128gb Samsung 840 EVO & 2tb Seagate barricuda / PSU: Corsair RM750
