Will i run into problems with this?

Hey guys, so i recently bought an ssd and was going to install it this afternoon, so i watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox6DHlPQI-w). Now in this video Linus keeps windows in the storage HDD, Is that OK to do?

 

I have windows 8 so could i just install it on the SSD and not have to bother with uninstalling it from my storage drive? Will it cause any problems if there is a dormant windows on the storage drive? Thanks:)

That doesn't really answer my question though, When i install windows on my ssd, Will it cause problems just leaving everything on my storage drive and just using it for storage and just booting off the SSD?

No it won't. Just be sure to set your boot order so it boots from the SSD

Thank you so much! i didn't want to have to move everything off my HDD and then put it back on, knowing that i can just leave the windows files helps a lot!

I have a question, if I install an ssd, how can I remove only windows from the existing drive to install a new copy of them on ssd?

Your best bet is to disconnect the old drive. Connect the SSD.

Do a clean-install of windows.

Connect the old drive. Make sure you set the boot device priority right!

And just delete Windows en Program Files folders of the old HDD
