MSI HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Boost Edition

Go to solution Solved by mapegl,

I can getSAPPHIRE R9 280 3GB DDR5 Novo!!!

cheaper! but used. 4 Months

Should be fine. Any warranty left? Then do it. Sapphire makes solid cards. I own my 4th card from them now, my brother has his 3rd now, my buddies went through acouple of them, none ever broke, they all got old and eventually replaced by sth. faster.

Also that cooler is supposed to be a decent one.

Will it be good Card? for playing games like CoD ADV Warfare, new and heavy games

You should be fine :-) You could also consider a r9 285/280x. Wait for totalbiscuit to make a video about it. Ghost was badly uptimized and therefore no one could run it propely.

As said get the 280 if it's cheaper/same price. It's the same chip.

But I have a 7950 from MSI (boost edition) and it's fantastic, I have mine running at 1100 mhz / 1575mhz and it maxes out every game I throw at it (BF4 probably most demanding) at 50-60fps. Often hitting higher than that if you drop AA.

It is a great card! but I will recommend investing on a r9 280x or r9 290 because it will last more on the future :D

I also have a 7950 running at full OC 1100/1575 and it runs smoothly a little bit hot but my ambient temperature its about 28/30C

Make sure it's was not used for coin mining or at least it still under warranty.

I've used multiple used GPUs and had no issues. It's always nice to ask/see pictures from seller.

Odds are it was a coin mining GPU, which means it's been ran at full pelt for some time. It may affect the life-span.

I mined on my GPU for a few months (about 8 hours a day) and it still runs fine.

MSI does not always make the best coolers.

What country are you from? Because in Germany the 280 is cheap as hell.

That is pretty cheap. Is it still under warranty?

Hmm... i scared it's an ex-mining card. Usually ex-mining card fan already degrade so much till it can't keep the temperature down. Without factory warranty it can become a $170 paperweight pretty quick if you get unlucky.
