So i want to upgrade my graphics and have settled on the EVGA GTX 750 TI 2 GB FTW, now i know that these cards have low power consumption nowadays due to the excellent Maxwell architecture. I have a store bought Hp Envy 700-074 and i am wondering if i need to upgrade the power supply?

This is where i would normally list my specs but seeing as how its a store bought model i wont. I would link the product page here but i am having trouble doing that for some reason so i'll just state again that it's a HP Envy 700-074.

Thanks for all you help in advance. :)

P.S. I live in America.

Well the 750 Ti uses no more than 200W in a realistic load so you will most likely have a good enough PSU.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Power Supply

Internal 460W (100V-240V)
  • Form Factor: internal ATX

  • Total wattage: 460W

  • Nominal input voltage range:

    • 100-127V/3A (50-60Hz)

    • 200-240V/2A (50-60Hz

Yes it has enough juice but you need connectors so,

You either need 2 of these

or one of these

or you have to buy a new PSU or get the reference 750 TI that needs no extra power cables
