I'm looking for a pc mostly for gaming. I play games such as battle field 4 Dota 2 COD and Diablo 3. My budget is $800 including the operating system. I do not make videos and do not plan on overclocking my cpu or gpu. I already have a keyboard mouse and monitor so i don't need any of those. Hope you guys can help me out.

I would stretch the budget a tiny bit so you can get an R9 280. This build hasn't skimped on any part and is pretty strong for the money. In before "XEON IS NOT FOR GAMING HURP". Linus/slick have already proven it makes no difference assuming approximately equal clock speeds.

That's the issue though, AMD gets smashed by intel unless you OC it by a decent amount (especially the 6300).

Yeah I agree. Going intel is more money but it beats AMD by Miles and it's extremely worth stretching your budget

No need to get an aftermarket cooler if not OC'ing. Also ditch the SSD for a better CPU or GPU and get an MSI Z97 PC mate. It's better than ASrock and cheaper.

It struggles yes (I have a true quad, as opposed to "fake" quad i3) and sometimes I struggle but that's really only on huge maps with 64 players with terrain on high. Drop the terrain to medium and you should be fine.

The MSI Z97 PC MATE motherboard is one of the best motherboards on the market for ATX and bang for your buck. Plus H97 motherboard are often the same price and B85 have lots of bad motherboards. Also ATX provides better cooling options and more expandability than B85 so why not.

I don't call $6 over budget. I call that shipping . I still highly recommend getting a Xeon E3 1231-V3 instead. You simply cannot do better when not OC'ing and staying on a decent budget. Highly worth the stretch if you intend to keep this PC for a decent amount of time since I expect games to be able to use more than 4 threads in about 1-2 years.
