R9 295X2 is it worth it

Huh? It's still only 4GB of VRAM total.

Correct it does not stack but it's still twice the GPUs and vram. It's not 4GB vram for both GPUs it's 4 per GPU core. Alternate frame rendering aka CF/SLI GPU1 with4GB vram renders frame 1 then GPU2 with it's own cluster of 4GB vram renders frame2 and the cycle repeats. Therefore 4GB Vram and one GPU only has to render half the frames that it normally would have to on it's own and the other GPU and Vram does the other half. It;s kinda like how in theory a dual core CPU splits the work load to speed up the process.

That's just how Crossfire/SLI works but what does that have to do with people thinking that VRAM stacks in this thread?
