hi, i am trying to fnd a new cpu for my gaming rig. currently i have an amd phenom x4 9850 which in gaming terms it is bogging down even my r7 260x which i purchased because i came from the xbox 360 when i was deciding on a next gen solution and i decided to just upgrade my existing computer which so far i love pc gaming and i like using a keyboard and mouse when gaming because it feels more precise, but back to the matter at hand i haven't really looked at the options from intel my budget is 150 dollars. i have been thinking about the fx 8320 and getting a custom water cooling setup or an h100i but i am going to be rendering videos and i know with a budget like that it will be taxing on the the system and will take a while but that's fine by me(also will use photoshop). so i'm looking for a cpu that is unlocked and has at least 4 cores, 6 would be great, 8 would be awesome. so please help me out it would be greatly appreciated

If you can stretch your budget for intel a bit more I would highly suggest an i5 4690K.

An i5 is a total waste of money for a 260X. Get an FX 6300 or an FX 8320 instead.

FX-8320 should be the best choice for you, If you are more of productivity guy than gaming guy, save up for an i5,
you can also easily OC the FX8320 to the levels of the FX8350 that costs 30 bucks more.

so FX-8320 is the best for your budget if you are going to be gaming mainly.
