Hello everyone,

i need a new Headset to use for Gaming, and i do have headphones(non gaming) i have Marshall Monitors but those hurt my ears when i am gaming for a long time.

so i need headphones that are very comfortable, these have a quite high clamping force and my ears start to ache all around after some hours.

i need some headphones that will not get sweaty and very comfortable not hurting on my ears even after 2 - 3 hours of gaming with a decent sound.

i am not a audiophile, i just need decent sound but they need to be very comfortable, anyone have experience with headphones which are very comfortable?

because i keep switching to the earbuds i got with my HTC One m8 because these headphones start to hurt after some time. and those earbuds are just very shitty.

any ideas would be very helpful.

is the HyperX cloud comfortable? not like straining on the ears after a long time? like 3 hours+. i really like thos clouds.

although the DT770 look very very comfy, can you use like a magnetic mic on those that you clip to the side of the headphones? or should i use a stand alone desk one?

I've got a review on them, for me, yes they are comfortable for many hours, though can cause people to sweat after a while which isn't a big deal if you're okay with taking them off your head every once in a while. The Review link is in my signature.

EDIT: they also come with velour pads which are breathable, fixing the sweat issue with pleather pads.

im just a bit afraid of the shape of the earpads, since the shape is like the same as mine now, so i'm a bit afraid that it wont be good for me. the DT770s look bigger and for me maybe better and more comfortable.

Even for those with large ears these will completely encumber your ears. Trust me I say they're comfortable. I own an extensive list of headphones and these are no exception. Beyer's some of the most comfortable headphones on the market and the hd660s are essentially a clone in terms of design. Just to reassure you more, I consider headphones like the m50 to be uncomfortable. Most people would say they're okay, but my standards are quite high. For $55 it's a very compelling offer. Here is a link to the ear pads you will need to purchase to improve comfort drastically " http://m.ebay.com/itm/261560058780?nav=SEARCH"

EDIT: Well, I'm a dumbass. I got confused with another thread LOL.

Sorry for the double post, don't think you get a notification if I only edit. The DT770's are more than twice the price, and are definitely more comfortable imo. But, the Cloud's are still comfortable pair of headphones. They should fit around your ear and the ear pads are nice and plush, also the Clamping force is PERFECT.

EDIT: sorry for any confusion I may have caused with my last post.

Oh really? that's a fantastic price... They're $270 here in Canada, which is rediculous and $220 in the US.

In my opinion, go for the desk mic if you have the space for it. I've always preferred a standalone mic. The thoughts of 5 trillion stereotypical gamers wearing gamer-headsets is enough to make me want to vomit. I've always been about performance, and nothing says "dis is srs bzns" like having a nice, dedicated mic. I also much prefer a standalone mic for Youtube videos than a normal headset or clip-on. However, if you don't care for what I mentioned and as long as your voice sounds half-decent you'd be happy, sure, you're not missing out by choosing a headset mic, etc.

If you get a headset though, it's a little harder to justify getting a standalone mic because... you just bought a mic.

I'll just assume it's under $200.

It seems most people on LTT audio subsection are like that.

$80 headset in a $200 budget haha, I asked for the budget originally but didn't answer so.. :P

Well yea... probably more like ~125 is typically the spot. Although if I insert the right weasel words, I can probably convince a few peeps to spend 200, although I probably wouldn't.

you gonna need some memory foam with cloth finish headphones for that comfort thing, about shitty sound... there is no answer. go to a audio oriented store and test some shit out!

but... audio quality comes with a price.

=> what's the budget?

Implying that leather and synthetic leather can't be comfortable...

not saying that, but he complained about sweat... cloth does better in that area? :)

big kiss to you, no hate!

The reason a pair of headphones would cause sweat is how well they breathe, doesn't 100% depend on the ear pad material, though it definitely is a factor. Real leather usually doesn't have this issue. Alot of closed headphones with Synthetic leather may cause sweat quite quickly.

EDIT: I'm going to add to this. Usually it's Comfort and build quality you're paying for in the $100-200 price range. Superlux' HD668bs sound fantastic for the price of $30, but aren't exactly too comfortable or feel sturdy
