undervolt cpu and leave it at stock, its great for video editing considering the price

my friend wants a new pc but he only has £350 which i told him is nothing for what he wants to do with it.... i've tried a couple of things but keep going over the price limit, can anyone help me out?

he wants it for video editing, browsing the internet and gaming like wow and other low intensity games. yes i told him it's pretty much impossible but hey we can try right?

he doesn't need an os or any peripherals..

thanks

Does he have a PC now? What are it's spec.'s? Can he wait a bit and save a bit more money etc?

Not gonna get much for $350, at around $500 he'd be beating out console easily, but $350 is a stretch. Unless you get some good deals on used gear on Ebay or something

its pounds sterling. and also you can compare 7790 ( 260x) to xbone perf.

easy, i just did the build with 6300. its beast, its got 6 cores and better and cheaper at video editing than intel choice

why you no go 750 ti?

because its same performance but alot cheaper. you can also overclock, look at heatsink it has heatpipes, not just block of aluminium like sapphire card.

Yeah a GTX 480 from 5 years ago doesn't run as slowly or poorly as either console. I doubt they can run as well as a 260x. Even then, you still can get 1080p on more games at a higher FPS than you can on console.

Edit: Nice build btw. I didn't think it could be done.
