I have a OCZ ModXstream-pro 700w psu and the fan is failing. Ive had this psu for almost five years now. Is it worth trying to put a new fan on it or am i better off buying a new psu? If its worth just replacing the fan how would i go about it? I can see a costum fan header and im guessing getting a compatible fan is out of the question.

If you want to get some more life out of the PSU you can replace the fan but you'll need to get an adapter from 3 pin to 2 pin to get the power to the new fan.

Just a side note as a word of caution just becareful if you plugged in the power supply recently, make sure to let it drain of power before attempting repairs to prevent yourself from getting a  nasty electrical shock.

pssh thats a waste of money. if you have pc parts the chacnes of you having a 120mm or 70 or 90 whatever the size is fan just chop the wires off both and connect then with some solder or just twist and tape it up. its not rocket science

^^ That also a good solution as long as your familiar around a solder iron.
