Weird "shadowing" on screen when using 1080p

This only happens with 1080p. I left my computer on overnight and when i woke up everything was blurry on the screen, it seems like it shows everything twice. First i thought my vision got shit overnight. It is like this only in Windows. bios and the screen settings menu etc. are fine. The screen is BenQ E2400HD

Check your 1080p refresh rate is actually using 60hz and not anything lower.

& Swap/Test cables to be sure its not them.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Yes it's 60 Hz. I'll try swapping cables.

Yes. Also rebooted my system.

Swapping the cable and reinstalling drivers didn't work. But i noticed a weird thing. When i uninstalled the nvidia drivers the screen was blurry on any resolution. That's weird because with drivers installed it happens only on 1080p.

Which input are you using on the monitor and which output on your GPU? The GPU model wouldnt be a bad thing ot know either.

are you using the monitors native resolution? also try picking up the drivers for your display. they are basicly worthless but they show you all the available options for your monitor. refresh res and stuff like that. mess around with it.

Yes 1080p is the native resolution. I've tried messing around with the NVIDIA control panel
