What kind of games. Are you a competitive pew-pew kind of guy or do you want something that looks pretty. Does it need to be 1080p, or 1440p. If you are playing online games, what kind, do you need a 120/144hz monitor.

We need a few more details man.

Dell Ultrasharps all the way!

After seeing the U2414H review at TFT central, I want 3 :D

Actually, there's a decent monitor.

4ms of total lag, good colours, and all the bells and whistles one could want. No DVI is a bit of a downside, but there's multiple display ports, so I'd be happy with that. I prefer something with a locking mechanism where possible.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k | Mobo: MSI Mpower Max | Cooling: Cryorig R1 Ultimate w/ XT140 front Fan | GPU: EVGA GTX 770 Dual SC SLI | Case: NZXT H440 | Case Fans: Phanteks PH-140SP x5 | PSU: EVGA Supernova P2 1000W | RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer | SSD: Kingston HyperX 3k 120GB | HDD: Seagate Barracude

Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 | Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013 | Headphones: Sennheiser HD438s | Mousepad: Razer Goliathus Control | Monitor 1: Benq XL2430T | Monitor 2: BenQ RL2455HM

If you're interested in a 120HZ monitor like all the cool kids playing CS:GO, I'm pretty sure a BenQ XL2420Z is within your price range.

Otherwise, a Dell Ultrasharp, maybe an Eizo Foris FS2434 that came out recently, although I think the pricing on that one is gonna be hella-expensive for what it is
