Help with CPU decision needed

Hello, community!

Quick question:

As I am looking into building a new PC I came across the option of purchasing an Intel Pentium G3258.

Will this budget CPU be a bottleneck for my planned 780 Ti, compared to say an i5-4690k? Any CPU i get will be overclocked!

 

What I am especially curious about is whether games in the future will utilize the higher number of cores of an i5 compared to the Pentium and if the Pentium could BECOME a bottleneck.
Of course one can only speculate, but with Watch Dogs and Star Citizen already making use of more cores, is this going to be a trend?

Long story short:
Pentium G3258 or i5-4690k for gaming in the years to come?

4690k, i would only get the g3258 if i don't have a lot of money to spend on a cpu and then upgrade to a 4690k in the future.
