Gtx or r9?

ItxCrow

Hey,

I'm going to get a new pc, with 3 1080p 24" screens soon,

what will be better for gaming?

what will give me more fps?

Sapphire radeon r9 290x Vapor-X or Tri-X

or

Evga GeForce Gtx 780 Ti Dual Classified

Hope you can help me.

Thanks!

At that resolution the r9 290x's will probably perform better.

Although I would probably hold off as long as you can because it is RUMOURED that the 800/900 series is coming out soon

They perform the same so there's not many reasons to get the 780 Ti but wait for news about the new Nvidia cards before you make a decision.

Get the card with max VRam as higher resolution requires it. Also AMD will be better for multi monitor setups.

| CPU: Intel Core i5 8400 | Motherboard: MSI Z370 PC Pro | CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212 PLUS | GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 AMP! Edition | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 16GB DDR4 2400 MHz | PSU: Corsair VS650 | SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB | Monitor: Dell S2240L | OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 |

Do you tend to game on all three with surround? Not many games are optimized for that, it really only benefits in simulators. Everything else trends to be more gimmicky. You can grab the Asus TI for 588 on Amazon right now.

CPU: AMD 5950X    MB: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero    RAM: HyperX Predator 64GB    GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti FE    SSD: Seagate FireCuda 530 2TB
PSU: EVGA 1200w P2    COOLING: EK AIO Elite 360    CASE: Fractal Design Torrent
DISPLAY: LG CX48 4k OLED    AUDIO: HIFIMAN Arya SE
