I am currently in the process of installing windows 7 64 bit and it says I have to insert a Driver disk/Usb so it can install my drivers.

I bought a motherboard called ASRock 990fx Fatality Professional and it has a installation disk with drivers in them. Do I put that into my Disk Drive to install drivers because I did that and it still says no drivers found.

I also have a Sapphire 7970 Vapor-X Ghz Edition and it's basically the same thing I am trying to do with the ASRock installation disk.

My CPU is AMD Phenom II X4 956 3.4Ghz

Is it possible I am running  32bit on the system; hence why it's not finding drivers or does the window disk have missing drivers?

Thanks for the help :)

So wait...you're running 32 bit but installed 64 bit? Doesn't make sense. The drivers have to be for both 32 bit and 64 bit anyways. Also, have you tried just downloading the drivers from Asrock's website and installing them?

Right click on "Computer"  and click "Properties" there you are able to check if you are running a 32-bit OS

It's a fresh installation

I mean Windows 7 is 32 bit. I read that 4 cores = 64 bit and I have a quad core cpu.. so I am doing it wrong. Oh and.. I got the Windows 7 from a torrent. I am going to go to ASRock's website and try that now. I'll be back with results!

No. 64 bit processors are (consumer processors) x86-64. That means it supports both 32 bit and 64 bit. And no, core count doesn't mean anything. My laptop is using an older Intel Pentium Dual Core and it supports 64 bit(running 64 bit Ubuntu on it now). I'm also generally not a fan of torrents, as you may not be installing what you think you're installing.

Ohh I see, all my life I thought it was because of the cores c:

Broadcom LAN driver

Realtek audio driver

Marvell SATA3 driver

Etron USB 3.0 driver

Make sure they're the latest versions as long as your operating system is listed. (W7)

I'd just buy a copy of Windows, quite honestly.
