Water cooling noob?

Hey I am planning on buying a Swift Tech h220 (I know this is not the true blue thing) but it seems the numbers are good in benches. I have a few questions I am going to change out the tubing and make it somewhat custom.

1. distilled water or coolant I have seen other rigs where the coolant has corroded copper away and become gunky. I am a automotive technician and I see this a lot and it is due to lack of maintenence coolants breakdown over time and can become an elctrolyte. Should I worry about this in my loop if I change the coolant out once a year what have you guys experienced.

2. If I do go with a coolant I want either red or the stuff that looks like shampoo when it flows. Which brand is best for corrosion and antimicrobial inhibitors.

3. Or would it be recommended to use red tubing and distilled water.

4. Also I have seen a lot of different tubing that claim things like non porous, labratory, etc etc... which is a good choice for longevity.

The reason I am going this route I am running a corsair 500r and when my rig is done it is going to be filled up quite nicely and I don't think I will have the room with the way I want to build my custom loop.

It seems better because it is a custom setup, with everything included, and has really good performance.  

 

Red tubing and distilled water would work much better.  Just add a Kill Coil or an anti microbial additive.

I have heard bad things about bay reservoirs about leakage and what not.

i'd believe that kit would be easier to upgrade over the H220, it is available now and

if not rough with the reservoir it kinda tough. i've used them with zero failures (D5 version).

the fans that come with that kit as pretty good (1650) and for a CPU kit is a great start.
