Ok I have read artical after artical on AMD powertune. But I still never get the simple straight answer that I want to know. Does AMD powertune raise performance or not? Will +20 help in FPS or lower it? I hate to ask this because I should know about it already, But everything I read about powertune just hints to what it does but always leaves you with no straight answer.

I just want to say thanks in advance for your time a patience on answering this question for me.

I've read a lot and didn't find an answer, but i tested it. It does literally NOTHING. no voltage + to the gpu, no + to the clock, no improvement in my games, doesn't improve unstable overclock. I tested with a HD7770 from sapphire.

I was talking about the power limit settings tho. Not sure if it's the same.

That is about what I figured, No wonder they go on and on explaining it without giving a straight answer.

PowerTune will increase/decrease the TDP limit for your card. +20 mean it will increase the card TDP by 20% and vice versa. That's all it will do for older card (PowerTune 1.0).

This only benefit overclockers mostly.

For newer card with PowerTune 2.0 however, is slightly different.
