Networking Problems.

Angealy
Go to solution Solved by W-L,

Here we go, well i have a router with about four port switches on it and i'd like to add more devices.

These are hard wire devices, wireless is not going to work in this case.

However, three are being used as of right now, only making one open and usable.

I have about 3-5 devices, i'd like to hook up to the router with cat cables.

But the only way i can think of doing this is, as of right now, is to buy a new switch and plug it into the empty port on the router.

Then i'd run the devices off the switch, but my question is would it work?

Thank you.

You'd be correct just get a switch of your choice that has the necessary number ethernet ports for your needs, you can also setup an old router as a switch if you happen to have one laying around.
