first post on the forum, but I've been here for a while, can someone recommend some good keyboards that are both mechanical preferably mx blues, but also has multicolored back lights? I don't really need any macro keys but if they have them, its ok.

I have heard that rosewill are bringing out (or may have released) a mechanical keyboard with multicoloured backlighting. The arrow keys and wasd keys light up in a different colour as well as the colour of all the other keys. Hope this helps :)

Yeah I think mechanicals with multicoloured backlights are really rare or really expensive due to something about having each led work at a different voltage or something along those lines.

Saying that, I don't think their are apart from one Ducky board.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

I'd personally go for the switches if you are stuck deciding. Having typed on a membrane keyboard for my entire life (having tried many mechanical keyboards), I would highly recommend going for a switch you like over the look of the keyboard. I must say, that ducky looks epic, but i'm waiting for the CM Storm quickfire XT

I have the Ducky Shine II 78 Version shown in the pic:

The thing about this KB, that makes it stand out from the rest (other than the multi-colored LED), is that it has eight switch types. It's called the 78 Version because it has 7 LED colors, and 8 LED colors, it's one of my fave KBs and I use it on my main rig. The alphabet keys, in purple, use red switch. the keys around it (space barAlt, Tab, Enter, etc) in red use black switch. The arrow keys and those above it, in orange, use brown switch. The numpad, in blue, uses blue switch.....and so forth. I use it on my main rig because the WASD keys use red, and I love red for gaming.

Ducky command a premium, but it's well worth it.......but, if budget's a constraint, then the CoolerMaster Quick Fire TK (TKL) and Storm Trigger are excellent as well.....I have a Storm Trigger Red and a QF TK Blue, excellent KB's. And please do select based on switch type rather than aesthetics,.....long after the novelty of the lED color(s) has worn off, you'd still want a KB that you enjoy typing on..
