Hey all,

I'm going to start my new build in a couple months and I want an optical drive as I'm planning on watching blu rays on it and I'll need it to install my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.

Anybody have experience with this one and recommend it? It's $47.99 after promos and rebates ending tomorrow, so I'm thinking about ordering it while it's still cheap.

Thanks!

Actually, now that I think of it. I might just get the dvd/cd drive. I have a PS3 that I could hook up to the monitor...

Exactly, problem solved. Bluray playing optical drives are still unnecessarily expensive IMO.

Sorry btw, didn't catch the bluray part in the OP. Here's one tho, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-optical-drive-bc12b1stblkbas. It's all black. :)

No worries, actually I think I might go with the Asus DVD drive you suggested or the LC DVD drive ThyFeared suggested.

Everything listed so far are all OEM, so (another n00b question), I'll need to buy a SATA (power and/or data?) cable and mounting screws, right?
