Good luck, although it should be plain sailing from here on.

Any other issues or if you need advice feel free to send me a PM.

Thanks :) Its installing Windows on the SSD now :) 74% done :D

first i would look in your motherboard manual for the Debug code that is shown on the board i am unfamiliar with msi boards but 00 seems to imply its having trouble initializing the cpu try resetting the bios by removing the cmos battery or hitting the clear cmos button on the board if it is present. it could also mean a broken or bent pin under the CPU did you try an out of case boot?

I removed the CPU, and checked if there were any bent or broken pins, but all is fine and pristine. Do you suggest removing the CMOS battery? Or should I try booting it with just the PSU, motherboard, ram and CPU and heatsink?

Booted the bios, and everything was fine with the normal heatsink. Then installed the Cooler Master Seidon 120V, booted it up, no video available and on the debug led, it was showing two digit numbers going up. I switched the computer off when it reached 7 8, in case that meant CPU temperature. What should I do? Any ideas?

So what happened was: Outside of the case, I tested with the heatsink, it was fine and loaded to bios. In the case, I tried with the Cooler master seidon and it didn't shown any video and the debug led showed temperatures going up quite fast, so I turned it off - worried - at 78. So, then I tried with the heatsink again and it shows a temperature of 55 on the debug led, but no video shows.

Lets see if I understood that post-flood... It booted out of the case and it doesn't boot in it?

Remove everything, check for any unnecessary standoff and anything that could shortcircuit, probably that's the issue since according to the debug led list there's no 78 error (make sure you're reading it with the points down BTW)

also what do you mean by "mb bracket"?

I figured out how to quote properly >.<

The debug LED doesn't indicate temperature!

They are used to display error codes that can then be looked up.

In the debug code led table, it says that 50 ~ 55 means early memory initialisation, but the number had already gone to 56 by the time I turned it off

...

I'm trying to remove the CMOS battery now, I'll see if that does anything. As for checking over everything, I think I'll have to do that tomorrow :P
