RIght now I'm looking at some rs 180's with a modmic are there any better options?

the rest of the build is here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6nLQK8

What is your budget?

Do you prefer open or closed?

Do you like have bass, little, some or lots?

Are you a fun or competitive gamer?

Closed headphones is where people can't hear what you're listening to and you can't listen to them. Open is the opposite of closed. The downside of open is less boomy bass than closed and better, larger more accurate soundstange. (of course this depends on the headphones)

Do you play FPS games and want to the hear foots steps or just want the fun experience of the game?

Good closed headphones for competitive FPS gaming is quite rare. The only good one is the dt770. It has a pretty good soundstage and positional audio but the bass is a bit overpowering which will distort the little details which isn't ideal for competitive play but great for fun.

The dt770 are comfortable just not ideal for competitive gaming. If you don't mind open backs, I would take a look at ad900x, hd598, q701, k702. These are awesome for competitive gaming. When paired with the modmic, best gaming headset ever. Also on mass drop curently, modmic is on sale for 34.99 for no mute butt and 39.99 for mute, 1 more day left

I would get the ad900x because it sults my requirements, less bass, open back design, large soundstage, great imaging and pretty comfortable. Of course this is my opinion. But if you like bass, for open headphones and are good for gaming, take a look at the dt990, these bass and treble canons but I read they are still pretty good for gaming, more so a better alarounder, fun and competitive... Both are great, just the dt990 bass and treble canons and ad900x lacks bass.

This is all from what I read in reviews and such, sorry currently I don't own any of the headphones i listed, I have ordered the q701 and a modmic both from Massdrop, can't wait until they come.
