would it work? i would think so but then again i've never done watercooling.

 

I don't imagine it can do too much harm, In a vehicle it is usually mixed, 50% anti freeze, and 50% water.

 

EDIT:

 

It appears I was wrong, it's actually a poor conductor of heat. The anti freeze in the coolant is used to help prevent rust and material build up. The water that you mix into it is actually the 'coolant' part of it.

Not as a coolant. People have used anti-freeze in custom loops to inhibit water corrosion and I think it helps when mixing metals like aluminum and copper too. I suggest you research this a bit before you do it.
