What exactly do WS boards mean? How are they different?

It is a work station board. They are usually build with better components and they have features that is more usefull for work stations. They mau have PLX chips and there fro more PCI-e lanes and stuff like taht

We need 4 PCI x16 lanes on more ATX boards
