Printer Ink???

I know this isn't the right section, but there doesn't seem to be a section for printers so i just decided printers count as peripherals since it uses USB.(that logic)

 

 

I have a HP Photosmart 7510. It uses 564 Ink

 

 

I put in a regular 546 pack for the primary colors, and then a XL black cartridge and then a setup photo black(the one that came with the printer) at almost the same time...

 

 

 

i havent printed alot of things at all and its telling me that all the ink levels are really low and im not getting clear prints.... why is this. is it just that HP wants to rob me money for ink?? cause for the price of the ink (11 dollars a color, 5 colors) i can just buy a cheap espon wireless color printer..... 

 

 

i spent about 200 on this printer and i dont really want to buy another printer but if it's just HP being really cheap about the amount of ink i get for 50 bucks i really will just buy a espon printer.

Which ink levels are supposedly low? The photo black doesn't tend to last too long.

 

Also - which country are you in? I may have a solution for you if you're in Australia and want cheaper ink.

I am in the US, and all of them. After i replaced all the color of ink. I have printed maybe about 3 colored things(2 of them came our wierd colored and incomplete) and about 20 black and white prints(music sheets) and ALL the ink are at the exact same low level.... im really just ready to ditch thing thing and get a different printer.... but i did pay 200+ dollars for it back in 2012 so i want to make the best out of it but if it devours ink like this constantly i can probably afford 2 or 3 new printers.

and just to be sure i checked the software, it said 25% for all of them if the advertised is 300 pages, i expect half of that which is 150, and 25% of that is around 35 pages.

 

so i printed 2 pages, both covers of the book The Mark of Athena, the 1st one came out funny  colored, and the 2nd one came out black and white. ...

You don't have a friend with a printer that takes the same ink do you? I think there may be an issue with the sensors.

 

Ultimately, I would get in contact with HP support.
